Eid-ul Fitr & Birthday Celebration.
Natasha Zainall August 30, 2011 2
It's Eid-ul Fitr people! Hehe.
After 30 days of fasting, Ramadhan has now left us.
Satans have been released from the invincible chains and prisons early this morning, eagerly entering into our world after a long, suffering one month, to tempt Adam's children to the paths that are unapproved by Him.
I hope I'll be able to stay faith to Allah, and be stronger to stay away from wordly desires and to focus entirely on Him and thank Him for his blessings.
One thing for sure, I am going to miss you Ramadhan. =)
It's time for Syawal to make its appearance, and today, the month of charity has finally arrived. As sad as I am that Ramadhan has left, but I couldn't be more than happy to welcome you, Syawal! =)
Here are some sneak peeks of my first day of Eid. ;)
Mommy and I at our house, just after Eid prayer, hehe.
The birthday boy and birthday girl with the parents, haha.
From right to left : Grandmommy, Grandpapa, Ayah and his wife, Ibu.
Ayah's birthday falls on the same day as Eid this year! Isn't that awesome!
So, we took the magnifique opportunity and celebrate his birthday, together with Ibu, who's birthday was yesterday! ;)
After blowing-candles-cutting-cake-photo-session, it's time for Beraya. And as usual, grandpapa delivered his Tazkirah Raya about how he expects our family to be and hopes that we will stay united as a family after he's not around any more. ;'(
My 78 years old grandpapa looking strong.
My grandpapa and I may not have the best grandfather-granddaughter relationship, but I do love him regardless of our very different opinion. I do love him.
For 22 years of my life, my grandpapa had never once fallen sick, not even flu or fever. He's a healthy man.
But, 4 months ago, he got really really sick. He couldn't stand for more than an hour, let alone walk or drive. Eating was never an issue to him, until 4 months ago. He ate less day by day and it scared me. He's ageing and all the scary thoughts swayed their way into my brain. He scared my 65 years old grandmommy. He scared the hell out of everybody.
Miracles do happen I guess. Because last month, he recovered. Completely. He's him again. The healthy, bubbly and naughty man, who loves to tease his wife and his kids and his grandchildren. The man who's loved by his friends at the mosque.
Thank you Allah for the miracle. =')
Moving on. These are the photos of Beraya session. Pardon for the low-quality photos, hehe. iPhone may be the smartest phone at this era, but, the camera isn't really that smart, in other word, sucks, hahaha.
Mommy asking for forgiveness from grandpapa and promises to be a faithful daughter, and she cried saying Alhamdulillah that he's healthy again.
Ayah asking for grandmommy to forgive him and to bless him and his life.
Grandmommy cried when she advised Achik to forget her long-time fiancé, who passed away 3 Syawals ago, and to move on.
Her soul and the will to continue living died together with him. *sigh*
May he rests in peace, and may she finds the will to continue her life. We miss her.
Asu cried as she listened to grandmommy asking for Asu's forgiveness, as she believes, she's the reason Asu's suffering from knee problem today. Being poor they were, grandmommy was unable to provide Asu, the youngest child, with proper and nutritious food, or milk, causing her to suffer with knee problem.
Mommy and Ayah.
The two older siblings, who sacrificed their lives to provide moolah for the younger siblings, when my grandpapa's business went into bankruptcy.
Grandpapa with my youngest brother, Wan Muhammad Daniel, a cunning little boy. =)
AND,
Me.
(Okay, dah boleh masuk minang, baju dah ada, haha. ;P)
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims around the world, a very happy Eid-ul Fitr.
May Allah's grace shines upon you and your family on this Eid. May Syawal brings you and your family all the happiness and the goods in life. And for your home to be filled with merry and good cheer. Forgive me for all my wrong doings or words that might have hurt you. Do forgive me. Have a blessed and wonderful Eid-ul Fitr.
Sincerely yours,
Natasha
