Kitchen is the Heart of the Home

My favourite cooking show!
Though, I still don't know how to cook. =P
Though, I still don't know how to cook. =P
"But our waking life, and our growing years, were for the most part spent in the kitchen, and until we married, or ran away, it was the common room we shared." - Laurie Lee.
From once being the hub of just cooking activity, the kitchen has morphed into being the heart of a home.
Not only for cooking, but also for eating and gathering around the kitchen table for some good conversation or perhaps a game of cards, or Monopoly, or helping kids with their homework, for that matter.
It is a place in one's home that exudes warmth and congeniality.
And here I have a few photos of what my kitchen will look like in 5 years.
*finger crossed*
Why 5 years?
Cause by that time, I would have finished my Masters, have a secure job as a lecturer and huge probably pursuing my Phd, married to Fared Amsyar and probably expecting (hahaha! XD) and have loads of savings to build my dream kitchen.
Well, A girl can dream. =P
Amiiiiin! (cepat2, tadah tangan for me, teheee =P)

It's a little bit traditional style. It has white raised-panel cabinets with beaded face frames and glass insets, contrasted by an antiqued and distressed island in a dark finish. And there's a little bit of Tuscan style - Terra cotta floors, hand-forged wrought-iron corbels, and a hand-painted mural inset behind the cooktop. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L |

This is a French country classic kitchen. I kinda like this one as well. It's a little bit of traditional and country style. It's simple yet compact. It features off-white painted cabinetry with a brushed black glaze. The kitchen island has table-height seating for five on one end and a planning desk on the other, with a built-in bookcase and other storage in the middle. C.U.T.E |

Uuuuuu! I liiikkkeeee this one. The black cabinetry on the kitchen island contrasts with the medium brown wood of the wall and base cabinets. And the custom stone ventilation hood, with its arch above the rangetop, creates a traditional hearth look. When I take another glimpse of this photo, it just screams "family & love". ![]() Wow! (o.O) A recessed mahogany dome in the ceiling matches the solid mahogany cabinetry, which creates the classic American elegance. Two wall ovens sit at “comfort” height (Mental note: I'm 5 ft. Make sure they're positioned to my comfort height. -.-') ![]() E.L.E.GA.N.T This kitchen has a very heavy English style. The painted cream Clive Christian kitchen cabinetry gives this kitchen a warm and elegant look. AND the dual chandeliers hanging over the kitchen island make it more intimate and absolute elegant. I'm afraid that I wouldn't wanna do any cook in this kitchen. Haha! XD ![]() Can you hear that? It screams, C.L.A.S.S.I.C. I HEART it. Though, it might be a lil bit scary at night. Haha. If the kitchen of an old English medieval castle had a 48” side-by-side Sub-Zero refrigerator with matching undercounter wine storage, it might look just like this one. Yep. The island provides plenty of work space. The castle’s “walk-in cooking fireplace” features a cultured stone hood surround over a six-burner rangetop, granite countertop, and a tumbled limestone backsplash with bronze inlays, is my favourite. I absolutely LOVE this kitchen. *dreamy* ![]() This kitchen looks more practical and easy-to-walk compared to the previous ones. Yes? It's more into a combination of traditional and contemporary style. The deep chocolate brown cabinets with that crown molding, add a traditional touch to this contemporary kitchen design. And the glass cabinetry inserts and a glass bartop keep the room light and fresh. ![]() It's an open kitchen. And it's almost similar to my mommy's kitchen, except ours is messy. Lol! The charcoal-colored granite countertops and the cherry-stained cabinets convey the warmth, which I love. This design creates a homey look and I'm pretty sure Fared Amsyar will like this design cause it's homey and simple. =) A girl can dream right? Teheeeee... It wouldn't hurt to dream to have an outdoor kitchen, would it? =P ![]() Perfect for grill & barbecue! This outdoor kitchen design has a pavilion-style roof that protects it from Tropical extremes weather. It should be full equipped with all the essential items for fiestas. It is supposed to be outfitted with a stereo system and televisions, as well as a gas grill, infrared burner and a smoker. Now, that should be just perfect for fiestas! Haha, what? I'm a dreamer AND a perfectionist. =P Good night & Sweet dreams, Natasha. |

Ada 10 kitchen kn? ? Kte wt sepuluh2 dapo aa! :p
All pure glass countertops provide a durable and highly polished surface which is non porous. Mainly because of this, pure glass countertops are a perfect choice for kitchen areas. They are extremely hygienic for the reason that the non-porous surface offers no place for germs and bacteria to live.
Hi Syg, haha, if only we have all the money in the world.. One will do.. :)
Hello Montanna!
That is very generous of you to share your opinion with me. You have a very good point and I have to agree with you that pure glass countertops are the best choice. :) Well, thank you so much for sharing your opinion with me! I'm new at this-decorating house, and I really appreciate it. Hope all is well. Take care Montanna. ;)
