Kite Flying & Bubbles Popping Kinda Day

Since my ever-sweet-husband had, mistakenly, let me loose on a shopping spree yesterday- which cost him hundreds of ringgit on Elana's stationaries and toys and a couple of dresses, we decided to stay in today.
In my defence, my gentleman husband insisted on paying when we were at the check out. 👉🏻👈🏻
Anyway, husband and I were having a cosy and relaxing day when at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, husband received a phone call from his older brother, saying that he, his wife and my mother-in-law, were on their way to our house and demanded us to guide them to Sekinchan because they wanted to have a picnic.
Yes, a picnic. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Where the heck do they think we live? The cold Antartica? 💆🏻
That home-person husband of mine was rather reluctant to go seeing that he only had today to rest before work commences tomorrow. Besides, going out means more money will be burned.
Sightseeing = Food + Petrol + Toll = 💸
But, in hindsight, we are glad we actually agreed to go with them, 'cause these photos are simply breathtaking.
📍Padi Box, Sekinchan
Unfortunately, some of the paddy fields had already been harvested. Only this particular paddy box, which is probably owned by Padi Box Hotel, was left untouched. Perhaps, the owner did not want the visitors and hotel guests to feel utterly disappointed to see bare soiled boxes surrounding them.
My family and I have actually been here last year, when Elana was really small. We were quite fortunate that all the paddy fields were green and luscious when we visited. Unlike this time around.
I think another visit, perhaps during harvesting season, is a good idea. I am sure the fields would look magnificent with the sun shining upon the golden paddy fields, ay.

About 10 minutes drive from Padi Box, there is a fishing village, known for its affordable seafood fishing market.
📍Redang Beach, Sekinchan
It is not the most beautiful beach with soft white sand and rich blue sea, but this is the closest and cleanest beach we can find in this area. I kid you not!
Nevertheless, it was definitely one of a kind experience to see fishing boats up-close, cruising along the mouth of the beach, as they head to the fishing market. For a town girl, who had never seen a fishing boat this up-close and personal in her entire life, I was thrilled. 😂
Seeing that the beach was rather narrow and the water was not exactly a swimming-friendly kind of beach, we, initially, thought that would not be many people there, but oh-boy, we were quite surprised by the number of people, eating and lazying around!
When husband and I were small, we had always wanted to fly a kite, but we never succeeded. Now that we have a child, we thought we should give kite flying another try. You know, if it did not work, we could simply pretend it's the child who failed. 😂
But guess what! We managed to fly the kite!
Elana was only excited for the first 10 minutes. Tsk tsk.
Meanwhile...
Overall, we enjoyed our Sunday and wish we could make more meaningful memory like this with our baby girl in the future.
Thank you for reading, and good night!
Love,
