Surprise!

I believe, this is by far the most wonderful and exciting blog post I have ever written. Fauzi and I are very happy to finally share the news that...

we are expecting!

Of all the many many scans done by husband's specialist friends, this one, however, tops 'em all. Why? Because my baby daddy took this himself. Hiks! ☺️ This will definitely be framed and hung on the wall...together with the last ultrasound picture of our angel baby, which we grieved dearly last February.

I am very early in pregnancy right now, just 18 weeks pregnant, but after our first pregnancy, which tragically ended in misscariage, we had decided to wait for awhile to share this wonderful news with everyone (except my family, who knew about it since the day I peed on the sticks). We also firmly believe in celebrating every moment of our pregnancy with all of our families and friends. And we could not be more excited for the coming year and all the amazing changes it will bring.

With all the joy of growing our family, came all the agony of morning sickness! Unfortunately, morning sickness for me was REAL. Whoever dubbed it ‘morning’ sickness was lucky, she didn’t have to endure it all day! Nevertheless, this is the ugly beauty of a pregnancy that I am grateful to be able to experience, because I know, there are many others out there, wishing to become pregnant and go through series of morning sickness.

It took me fairly about 18 weeks to finally calm down and start feeling more like myself. Otherwise, you would see me lounging on our bed still in my pyjama all day long, ‘cause bathing was a ridiculous idea, as I would just end up hurling all the content of my stomach as soon as I bathed!

I was constantly hungry, but all the food that I have always loved were revolting to me. Nothing agreed with my stomach! The sight of rice and the smell of fried foods made me feel bile rising up my throat! I was thin for a pregnant lady. Losing appetite was not a joy. The only two food that I depended on throughout my first trimester were, laksa and roti canai. On top of that, I developed a an unhealthy habit of drinking Iced Thai Tea. I had to have it every day. 😣

So, for all ladies who are/were sick during your pregnancies, I feel you...it is tough, emotionally and physically. You’re not alone!

Please send me and our baby good and positive vibes and thoughts, as well as prayers, for the next 8+ months. Thank you so much for joining us during this exciting time.

Blessings!
