48 days . . .

to our fairytale beginning of happily ever after.

However, wedding preparation has not gotten any easier. In fact, they got tougher, trickier and more stressful than ever.

Especially when it comes to fill-in up this form. . .

This form can only be filled-in, three months prior to your solemnisation date.

Otherwise, you will be wasting your time and petrol driving up to the Chief Kadi's Office and wait in a long line to get your form signed, but only to be sent home with unsigned form, because your application is classified as premature.

LOL.

I can actually see the logic in their policy.

Though, being hundreds of miles apart, this whole process has been one dreadful journey for us. Even with the help of advanced technology and internet access at the tip of our fingers, it has not been making our journey any less easy.

We are not putting the blame on the system, nor the people (well, except for the minority, who made us ran back and forth, hehe), but, I admit, this happens due to our flaws too.

Fauzi comes back to Kuala Lumpur, once a month, and it is usually for 3 to 4 days. So, as you can see, we are not exactly luxurious when it comes to time.

Last Eid-ul Adha, he came home for four days.

Beside, Eid and plenty of other things to sort out and juggle around, like wedding dress, hall, dias, door gifts, food and etc; we were also in a rush to get his form signed because our dateline is drawing near.

52 days left to be exact.

Since my dad is not able to represent me as my wali, I will have to go to the court and ask for magistrate wali. For that, we need more than 60 days to get it done because it is a painfully long process.

Now, how can one not panic?

A day after Eid-ul Adha, we had to literally chase after the Chief Kadi for his sign. Again. We waited  for him the entire day but there was no news from him. Turned out, he fell asleep, his phone was on low ring mode and only woke up to our distress phone calls at 6 o'clock in the evening.

How charming. LOL.

After a gruesome experience in KL, I'm back in Ipoh to get mine done. Hope everything goes well.

Hehe.
