The One That Got Away

"In another life, you would be my guy,
We keep all our promises, be us against the world,
In another life, I would make you stay,
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away"

It's a cover from Katy Perry's song, The One That Got Away, by Tiffany Alvord and Chester See.
It's been on top of my playlist for the past few months, and I can tell that mommy and my brothers are getting tired listening to it, hehe.

The first time I heard their version, I thought they were brilliant.
They modified the lyrics to G-view instead of PG18, and they changed the music to acoustic, which really suits my hopelessly romantic soul, lol!

To be honest, I wasn't crazy in love with the song before.
In fact, I didn't even like it because Katy's version is too aggressive and heart-wrenching for my liking.
And when I found their version - relax, slower, sweeter, more romantic and less rage and angst, it instantly became my favourite. And all of a sudden, the lyrics made sense to me than it did before.
Perhaps, the genre of a song influences ones capability to apprehend and actually feel the song. =P

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh, I L.O.V.E Chester See in this record!
He looks so darn fine in that suit, and that smile! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh....
Oh, don't get me started with his voice. He sounds sooo maaaanly with his husky and raspy voice. He turns me on. Raaawwrr! Hahaha! Kidding, kidding. This music video is by far his best. To me that is.

The same goes to Tiffany.
She is SOOOO pretty that she looks like a living doll with that fair skin complexion and big eyes.
Plus, she has an amazing voice -angelic voice to put it, but so far, this is the only music video of her that I really like. Some of the other covers she made, in my opinion, doesn't sound natural, it's more like forced and the songs she chose did not suit her voice that well.
She sounds more natural and comfortable in this record. Adorable, she is.
*sending lesbo kisses her way* Lol, if only I could sing as beautifully as her..
