My Fairytale Wedding: We Said 'I Do' (Part 2)

Finally! His reception: November 28th, 2015.

It was a double wedding reception. Initially, it was just us. But, when his older brother suddenly met this girl and convinced that she is the one, he decided to politely crash our reception and whip out an idea to hold a double wedding!

Wow.

To be honest, I was not entirely happy about it. Who wants to share their wedding day with another bride, isn't? Haha. But, after a lot of contemplation and discussion between Fauzi and I, we agreed to go along with his brother's idea. After all, that is his brother. Why create a feud over a small issue, right?

Ahaaa. Haha.

I was already half-hearted on that day. I was supposed to feel happy, to feel good, to look beautiful, but no. Fate had decided to play a funny game on me. I was not feeling well. I had to make toilet visit every five minutes. I was annoyed with a certain someone, who could not keep her loud opinion to herself. And I was forced to wear a wedding dress that was not meant for me!

The funny story was, the owner of the Wedding Galore boutique had forgotten that he was supposed to have an appointment with us. We were supposed to go and pick up our wedding outfits (which we had chosen two months ago and paid deposit too) that day, but, turned out that the wedding dress was rented to someone else. Talk about professionalism!

So, I ended up wearing an old, stuffy, smelly, peplum songket dress. And the best part was.....

......the other bride was wearing peplum dress too.

That did NOT make me feel any happier. Hahaha. I was on the verge of crying that morning! God knows how much I wanted to run, yes run, to the boutique and give him a tight slap across his face and some good kicks to his crown jewels.

Fauzi knew how much my wedding day meant to me. He tried to cheer me up and kept on telling me that I still looked beautiful and that I was more beautiful than his sister-in-law.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, what made me melt like a glacier. Haha.

I know it is a bias opinion, but whatever. Which wife does not go goey when her husband says she's beautiful?! Only the crazy ones. Haha.

I am very excited to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. He makes me happy in his own special way. I hope we will always be in His protection, and that our love will last till death do us part.

I hope you enjoyed re-living my wedding day with me and that it inspired you to embrace love!

Thank you to those who found some free time in your schedule and travel far just so you could share in the joy of our union. Thank you so much. May God bless you.
