My best friend of 11 years is now a Mrs.
It is just so surreal.
Feels like only yesterday we were sitting next to each other in class, writing notes to each other when the teachers were teaching, racing our way to the laboratory just so we could sit in front of the class and experience experiments first hand.
Despite the fact that both of us are completely different in personality and perspective; I was the Miss Perfect the Popular, whereas she was the timid, low-key scholar; we just click.
To be honest, it is rather difficult for me to adjust to this new arrangement.
I can no longer call or text her at godly hours just so she can listen to me complaining about the most unimportant and worthless shiz, haha.
No more random rendezvous at the most odd timing, haha. Unless her husband does not mind to tag along, and maybe, just maybe chip in for our trip and be our designated driver? Hehe. One could only wish, no?
She is going to do all these wedding/marriage talks with her married friends and I'll be here, feeling left out and all awkward!
I had a great 11 years with you, Ira. I really hope Mer will take care of you like how you deserve it. I'll still go banshee if he wrongs you, married or not!
I may not show it, but I do love you.
You're one of the few who can actually put up with my crazy antics and demands, and still loves me nonetheless. You listen to my problems and secrets without even judging me or turning your back on me when I needed you.We are undeniably comfortable with each other that we go shopping for tet tet tet together, haha. Your family practically adopts me. Not like they have any other options in that matter since I hang out at your place too often and didn't seem to know when to leave.
I hope we will always stay bestfriends even after we're both blissfully married, with cheeky children and live thousands of miles away.
Thank you for choosing me as your Maid of Honour. It was such an honour and a lot of hardwork too. Haha! Kidding.
Congratulations, Ira and Mer. I wish you both all the love and happiness in this life and hereafter. Make cute babies so my babies will have playmates!
P/S: My henna only cost me 14 bucks for both hands (I wore mint dress). Hiks!
