An Afternoon with Kangaroos & Koalas.

Welcome to City of South Perth mate!
As promised, I will bring each and everyone of you to South Perth! *cough* Virtually. =P
The one thing about this city that I admire the most is the building.
The style and the structure as well as the calm ambiance sort of bring me back to the 1900s.

In this part of city (South Perth City), the buildings are more into Pre-European style, compared to the North Perth City, where the buildings are a lot more modern with futuristic concept.
Take 'Chemist' as an example of the golden age. Oh, 'Chemist' is actually a medical centre. =)

Kecik je medical centre dia macam zaman cowboy dulu-dulu, lol.

One of Halal restaurants on Windsor St.

The Windsor Hotel. Established in 1898. Wow.
I can somehow imagine ladies in beautiful gowns with ornament hat on top of their heads and an umbrella in one hand, and a well-dressed gentlemen in tux walking alongside them, making their exit from the hotel.
*sigh* I wish to be in that era, where ladies dressed in gowns and diamonds and respected by gentlemen.

Dear friends, this is the post office. Cute isn't! =)

This is the Heritage House & Art Gallery.
It's closed, though. :(

Well, welcome to Windsor Park my friends!
It's a very very beautiful, greeny park and I loved it.

This is the Muster Point.
It's the place where citizens are ordered to go to when there is an emergency, like natural disasters.
So, everyone will gather here waiting for help. Muster point is usually the most stable & safest place of all.

Perth Zoo is located at the end of this park. And this is the path to the zoo.
So, shall we walk to the zoo now? =)

PERTH ZOO! =D

Admission prices to Perth Zoo.
Doesn't differ that much from our zoos, does it?

Purchasing our tickets.
The girl behind the glass was very friendly and helpful. =)

Why else would you go to zoos in Australia, but to see kangaroos and kaolas right!
So, let's take this route shall we?
Australian Bushwalk.
Before that, I think it's safer to read this:

Ready my friends? ;)

Aaaawww kangaroo! Can you spot it?

Taking turns to take our photos.
So, this is us, waiting for the kangaroos to get their butts up and hop to us, but naaaahh they preferred to sleep their asses off, haha. Dasar pemalas. -.-'

Sombong! Siap tunjuk buntut lagi taw. Haha. Nyampah.
Oh, I actually cried 'Pemalas' at them, haha, tak boleh lah jerit 'lazybump', the Whites would understand. =P

Red Kangaroo. Aussie's Icon.
I gotta admit kangaroos are cute, but they are super super laaaazzzyyy, haha. And fierce when threaten.

Conclusion : Kangaroos are aggressive.
They are not as cute and gentle as portrayed in Pooh, don't be tricked my child.
There goes my vision of kangaroos as gentle and cute creature. T.T Haha.

Aaaawww look at that. Macam nak cepuk je, hehee.

Look at its tail! Buat sup eko confirm 3 bulan tak habis, haha. Okay, that's yikes. Lol.

Me & Mr Kangaroo with lazybump as middle name, hehee.
Due to time constraint, we weren't able to go to Midland to see, feed and play with kangaroos,
so Perth Zoo was the best option, plus it's much nearer to our house.
Mandurah - Midland is very far, it's like taking a U-turn.
Hence, we only got to see these cute, but arrogant (lol, kidding) creatures of God from far,
which was SO not cool.
which was SO not cool.
And a waste of time I might add, since they were sleeping most of the time. Gaaahhh!
Mental note : Next time around, I shall make sure to go to Midland before going anywhere else.
:O OH, I didn't get to see the penguins! Wwwwuuuu! T.T
Another mental note : Make mom bring me to Queensland on our next vacation to visit penguins!
Anywhere, THAT was the farthest I could go to take a photo with MR Cocky, hehe.
Next photo, shall we.

Haaaaa, this is the water cooler. Cool, isn't.
But, if I were you, I wouldn't drink from here, who knows WHAT had drank from that.
Could be monkeys! Haha!
So, we've seen the kangaroos, we should go home now, no?
Okay okay, it would be a waste of money if we don't go and see the koalas, wouldn't it? =)
Here comes the KOALA!

Can you say aaaww? Okay, together! Aaaaaaawwwwwwwww!

Ooops, pointed the wrong tree, hehe. The koala is on the far left tree.
It's hibernating; left hand hanging in the air, the other was gripping the branch.
The cutest scene ever!

Aaaaaawwwww! That is SOOOO cuteeeeeeee........
Geraaaaamnyaaa tengok!

Hehehe! Doesn't it look like one of the key chains that we usually get as a gift from friends who return from Australia? Yeeeeeaaaaaaaa, that is just SO adorable.
I was THIIIIIIIISSSSS close to climb up the tree and hug them, hahaha!

Fluffy gilaaaaaaaaa!
If they were smaller, I would have kidnapped 1, hehee.
Visited the lazy kangaroos & the cute koalas, let's go to the park and have some rest before going home. =)

This is the park. And that's my goofy mommy.
Ooooohh deeeeaaarrrr, hahaha.

Love the grass!

We had some chips, and may I add, Smith's is the BEST.
I bought a few more after I finished the first two. *blush blush* =P

Mommy's busy planning for our next destination. In the process, getting her mind off of a certain someone.

LOL!
Mommy told me to TALK to the ape! To which I shamelessly complied. =P
Well, that's my mom. She'd ask you to do silly things just to 1) amuse her and 2) get a better and more REAL photo. -.-' Mamaa....Mamaa.... Hahaha.

Since I couldn't get any closer to the REAL kangaroos, I guess the statue will do. *sobs* =P

HAHAHA! Ain't acting like a 22, am I. =PPPP
Well, zoos just bring the kid out of me, bear with me. Hehe.
As much as we had fun at the zoo, but I think it's time for us to go home now.
Let's take the ferry back to Esplanade. =))

Waiting for our ferry to arrive. And that's the South Perth jetty in the background.

Stuffing my face with blueberry muffin (my boyfriend's favourite, by the way, hehe), which costed me AUD4. Haha, soooo pardon my pelahapness. ;P

Mommy had Banana muffin, her all time favourite.

Bidding goodbye to South Perth. Hence, the dimpled smile. =P
Now together! "Goodbye South Perth!" Hehee~
So, that was all out trip to the City of South Perth and Zoo Perth.
Did you have fun? Hehee.
I shall say my goodbye now. Gotta hit the sack before mommy flipped.
Coming up in my next entry,

A tour around Perth City.
Stay tuned! =P
Good night city dwellers!
Love,
Natasha
