Confession of a Trainee

You know what I hate the most about school on Saturdays? It's when I stayed up the whole freaking night to prepare the effing lesson plan & teaching aids (which burned a hole in my pocket, mind you), but there are no students to teach! Yeeep, great.

When I was a student myself, I hated it when we had to go to school on Saturdays. Why bother coming to school when I could  just chill at home, watching my favourite TV Show and never be bothered about homework on a fine weekend.

I guess my students thought the same.

BUT, it was back then, when I was a silly teenage girl with raging hormones. (Lol. I prefer to blame the hormones for my silly behaviour).

NOW, as I have become an educator, I now know how my teachers must have had felt. Lemme spell the word for you, it has 5 letters and it begins and ends with an S. It S-U-C-K-S. Major sucks!

Mental note: Apologise to the teachers.

I am not sure whether I should be more angry with the students for their insensitive behaviour and ignorance of their academic achievement or the administrators for their weak disciplinary practice in that school. None of these would have happened, if the school had stricter rules and the students were more aware.

With crappy feelings, I am now in the office, sitting at my desk (full with books, files, laptop and printer) with my chin on the pile of  books. And I have been in the same position for the past two and half hours, and I could totally doozed off in any minute due to the EXTREME bore and lack of sleep from last night.

If anyone happened to see me right now, they would laugh at me, cause I can definitely swear that I have crossed-eyes. o.0

Speaking of books, (yes, I can be such a geek sometimes, okay, maybe often :P) it looks like I have less than 4 days to cover the first chapter before proceeding with the next one. BUT, with majority of the students are M.I.A today, so another day has been wasted and I have 3 days left to complete the syllabus. Great. -.-'

Okay, here's another thing that I hate the most. I really hate it when I have to carry other people's burden and pain on my tanned shoulder (perasan sekejap, lol) and do their work from scratch and at the end of the day, they get the credit out of me.

If it wasn't because I care about my students, I would have ignored and simply proceeded with the second chapter. It should have been your work to make sure these kids have completed their first chapter, which you failed to do so.

I totally understand that you have so many work to do, especially the school had just reopened, but it is not a reason for you to skip classes, don't u think? These kids need us.

My mama is a teacher, my grandmama was a teacher, both my aunties are teachers, as well as my late great grandmama.  FYI, my mommy is the busiest bee in Ipoh (am not lying, seriously, she is.) And none of them had ever neglected their students no matter how busy they are or were.

When I was in school, my teachers always made sure that we were never behind the syllabus and I came from an elite school. Thus, I believe, there are no concrete reasons for you (who teaches in a rural area school) to throw all your work in my hands.

Just because I'm a trainee. Well, that's low even for you.

Okay, I know for a fact that people can rely on me (according to what a lot of people had said) for almost anything, BUT, passing your work to me, like ALL of your work which should have been completed before I even came to this school? Well, there's only one noun that can suit you well.

It's bully. You are a big bully.

Speaking of work, this coming Saturday, (there goes my lovely evening picnic with my family AGAIN), I have an in-house training to attend. Where we have to discuss & share our modules, worksheets as well as lesson plans.

Another boring and stressful Saturday, I may add.

*sigh*

As much as I find cats are super cute, cuddly and friendly, the one that is sitting next to me right now, does not look like one.

I'm not trying to be mean here, but this cat is not cute and definitely not cuddly since it's skinny, and it's most definitely NOT friendly because IT doesn't like people touching him or her.

I don't dare to check it's gender, so let's just call it as IT.

It is an astray cat so it's very fierce and competitive. DON'T be deceived by its pity and innocent look because  this cat only screams, trouble.

Much love ,
Natasha
