English Breakfast

A quickie.

As I’m typing this entry away, I’m actually waiting for my meals to arrive.

*tummy making weird sounds*

Ops. Pardon me ladies and gentlemen, for I can control my stomach, not.

>,<

It has been quite a long period since my family and I have had our breakfast somewhere else, but our dining hall. It’s not that I don’t like home-cooked meal, or eat at home, but it wouldn’t hurt to have some changes in the environment and atmosphere, would it?

Normally, my 65 years old grandmamma will prepare breakfast for us. Every single day.
She is not a young woman anymore, and she isn't getting any younger or stronger.
Despite countless offers from my mother and aunts, she refuses to accept anyone's help when she is in the kitchen. She loves to cook and experiment with food and kitchen is strictly her territory.
No one, I repeat, no one is allowed in HER kitchen.

Her heart condition has become an issue lately in this household, and we are deeply concerned about it. But, as a fighter she is, she refuses to stop doing all the domestic chores, even when we once-upon-a-time hired a housemaid.

Therefore, we have decided to drag her away from the kitchen by having family breakfast at the nearest   English cafe. Everyone gathered this morning and I never felt more like a family.

I wish we could do this more often.
My two heroes, who have been enlightening my days and nights.
Spot the resemblance? Hehe.
Left to right: Ayah, Atuk and Ayang.
Asu and her favourite dessert, the 'Signature Bread Pudding'.
And her drink, "Hot Chocolate".
It was super sluuurrrrppeeeee!
That happens when you try to talk and eat at the same time. She's gonna kill me if she saw this, haha.
Cream of Fresh Mushroom Soup with Garlic Breadsticks served with Ceaser Salad.
This is THE most deeeeeeliiiiicious pie I've ever eaten in my entire life. Seriously.
It's THE "Old fashioned Steak and Mushroom Pie".
With such a delicious food, it can be considered as affordable; at MYR 16 only.

Achik and Atuk.

My aunt had Le Traditional for her breakfast and my grandpa had Creole Chicken Baked Rice.
I was too busy eating, so I may have forgotten to take photos of their meals.
Pardon me and my appetite.
Asu and Mak Tuk.
My grandmamma was waiting for her meal, "Potato Presto Gratin", impatiently may I add.

Yours truly.
Highly recommended. :D

Bon Appetite Everyone!
Till Now,
Natasha
